Overview

The Department of Agriculture (Eastern Cape) invites bids for the supply and delivery of tractors and implements. The contract covers multiple crop mechanization units (trailers, sprayers, tractors, planters, harvester, ridger, mouldboard plough, etc.) to be delivered to the Eastern Cape delivery site (Bisho Showgrounds). Bidder suitability hinges on experience in cropping mechanization, capacity to deliver multi-item orders, and compliance with CSD/LOGIS registrations, tax status, and related supplier requirements (see attached bid document for full details).

Requirements

• The bid uses PPPFA with 80/20 (price vs specific goals); functionality must reach a minimum (70 points) to progress (see Annex in BID DOC TRACTORS.pdf).
• Administrative: complete ECBD forms, Pricing Schedule, Bidder’s Declaration; JV agreements if applicable; black ink, no corrections with fluid.
• Compliance: Tax status via CSD; CSD and LOGIS active; SARS Tax PIN; CK documents; VAT where applicable.
• Preference/Specific goals: eligibility for EC locality, women, youth, disability ownership, etc., with required documentation.
• Experience and capacity: documented deliveries of cropping mechanization machinery; proof of logistics capacity (own or leased transport).
• Delivery site: Bisho Showgrounds; delivery terms and pricing to be firm and VAT inclusive (pricing schedule).
• Documents to submit: SBD1, SBD3.1, SBD4, SBD6.1, and supporting schedules (see BID DOC TRACTORS.pdf).

• Submission deadline: 11:00 on 14 September 2026; sealed bids must be placed in the tender box at OFFICE No. 45, Indwe Building, Bhisho (delivery details in BID DOC TRACTORS.pdf).
• Method: hard-copy submission in sealed envelopes; where required, two-envelope system for technical/financial proposals (see tender data).
• Documents to submit: ECBD forms, Pricing Schedule, SBDs, CSD/LOGIS registration proof, tax compliance documentation (see BID DOC TRACTORS.pdf).
• Pre-qualifications: CSD and LOGIS registrations; VAT status if applicable; POPI consent form included in bid package.
