SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF TRAFFIC OFFICER UNIFORM

Overview

Procurement of the supply and delivery of Traffic Officer Uniforms for Sol Plaatje Municipality, including caps, hats, shirts, trousers, jackets and related items, over a 36-month period. Target bidders are suppliers of uniforms/PPE with capabilities to handle large textile and clothing orders, and with required registrations and certifications (CSD, SARS tax compliance, BBBEE).

Requirements

• Tender is evaluated on an 80/20 (price/specific goals) or 90/10 basis; tender validity 120 days.
• Required registrations/certifications: Central Supplier Database (CSD), SARS Tax Compliance PIN, VAT if registered; BBBEE verification (MBD6.1) or sworn affidavit; current municipal account or lease agreement.
• Local content: 100% in Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear.
• Listing criteria and capacity: complete mandatory listing criteria; bidders may form Joint Ventures (with JV specific documents).
• Administrative/compliance: sign all bid pages, two witnesses where required; no corrections with correction fluid; no bids from state servants.
• Documentation to accompany bid: MBD1, MBD2, MBD3.1, MBD3.2, MBD3.3 (if applicable), MBD4, MBD6, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9, CSD, BBBEE, municipal lease or account, and any other annexures. Include original and duplicate copies as required.

• Submission deadline: 12 November 2026 at 10:00. Do not submit by fax or email.
• Submission method: deposit bid documents in the Bid Box at SOL PLAATJE Municipality, SCM Unit, Municipal Stores Complex, Abattoir Road, Ashburnham, Kimberley 8301; include one original and one duplicate (clearly labeled).
• Documents to submit: complete official bid documents (MBD1, MBD2, MBD3.1, MBD3.2, MBD3.3 if applicable, MBD4, MBD6, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9), CSD printout, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, municipal account or lease, tax clearance PIN, and listings; two witnesses where required.
• Pre-conditions/registrations: ensure CSD registration; SARS TCS PIN; current municipal account or lease; 100% local content compliance; Joint Venture requirements if applicable.
