Overview

Supply and delivery of valves for Johannesburg Water. Bidders should have valve manufacturing or supply capability, local production, and meet BBBEE/ownership requirements (SMME focus: 51%+ black-owned). The RFQ is via the e-tender portal, with a mandatory briefing and a closing date of 23 July 2026.

Requirements

• Full completion of the Bill of Quantities / specifications; attendance at compulsory site briefing; attach datasheet, reference letters, proof of certification; no RFQ from state employees; not blacklisted; quotes on company letterhead; joint venture where applicable.
• Valves must be manufactured locally; Johannesburg Water will inspect during manufacturing with 48 hours’ notice; attach manufacturer datasheet (see attached documents).
• Specific goals: SMME 51%+ black-owned; BBBEE documentation or sworn affidavit required; price and specific-goal scoring under PPPFA 2022 (80/20 or 90/10 depending on value).
• Administrative/compliance documents: Original tax clearance; BBBEE certificate/affidavit; municipal rates/statement not older than 3 months; MBD4, MBD8, MBD9; proof of CSD registration; MBD6.1; company registration documents with director IDs; ensure PDFs on company letterhead.
• Do not proceed if in the service of the state; ensure full disclosure of relationships with state officials as required by MBD forms.
