Supply and delivery of gate valves

Overview

Supply and delivery of gate valves and related components to Johannesburg Water; open to valve manufacturers and suppliers with capability for local manufacture and SMME empowerment. There are two RFQs: 6000080632 (Valve package with multiple valve types) and 6000080661 (Gate valves). Submissions are by electronic portal and must be completed before the stated closing date.

Requirements

• Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide supplier number.
• Original valid Tax Clearance Certificate.
• BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (compulsory).
• Municipal rates/taxes not in arrears for more than 90 days.
• Full completion of BOQ/specifications and attach datasheet; include brand names.
• No bids from in-the-service-of-the-state bidders; not blacklisted.
• Quotes must be on company letterhead; PDFs only; joint venture agreements where applicable.
• Submit MBD forms (4, 6.1, 8, 9) and proof of CSD registration; lease or municipal statement as required.
• Specific goals: SMME target (51%+ black-owned) and local manufacture; PPPFA 2022 price vs specific goals scoring (80/20 or 90/10).

Notes from attached docs:

• Datasheets and brand names required; valves must be locally manufactured; inspections by Johannesburg Water during manufacturing with 48-hour notice (6000080632).
• Valves must be DZR resistant and JASWIC listed; provide a valid JASWIC certificate (6000080661).

• Submission deadlines: Closing date and time 12:00 on 2026-11-03 (both RFQs).
• Mandatory briefing: Yes — briefing session is mandatory; location in metadata: Calendula Road, Klipspruit West, Johannesburg 1818.
• Documents to submit (where applicable): Original Tax Clearance, BBBEE certificate/affidavit, municipal rates, MBD forms, company registration documents with director IDs, CSD proof, and BBBEE/affidavit per PPPFA requirements. Include manufacturer datasheets (6000080661) and ensure brand names for all items; JASWIC/DZR requirements as noted (6000080661).
