Overview

Supply and Delivery of Valves, Hydrants, Non-Return Valves and Air-Valves for a period up to 30 June 2030. This is open to suppliers/distributors/manufacturers of municipal water infrastructure components with the ability to supply, deliver and support valves, hydrants and related fittings to Drakenstein Municipality. Vendors should be registered on the municipality’s supplier database and comply with tax status requirements.

Requirements

• Compulsory clarification meeting attendance.
• Bids must be submitted on the provided documents and remain valid for at least 120 days.
• Sealed envelope submission; bid number clearly marked; deposit in tender box when closing.
• Tax compliance in terms of MBD 1 (Part B).
• Registration on Drakenstein Municipality’s supplier database.
• Compliance with GCC and special bidding conditions; relevant specifications; contract form to be signed if successful.
• Tender evaluated under the 80/20 Procurement Preference Point System.

How to Apply

• Obtain bid documentation from Drakenstein Municipality Engineering Department, Second Floor, Market/Main, Paarl (office hours 08:30–15:00 from 20 Aug 2026); non-refundable fee R450 for physical collection (free if requested electronically) (see CES 07/2026 Tender Advert.pdf).
• Attend the compulsory clarification meeting on 1 September 2026 at 14:00 at Library Hall, Paarl (late arrivals disqualified; one representative per tenderer).
• Prepare and submit the bid using the municipality’s documents; ensure a 120-day minimum validity.
• Submit by 15 October 2026 at 10:00 in sealed envelope(s) marked with the bid number to Tender Box 1, Civic Centre, Berg River Boulevard, Paarl (open 08:00–16:45 Mon–Thu, 08:00–15:30 Fri).
• Bids are not accepted by telegraph/phone/e-mail/late delivery; public opening at 10:15 on closing date.
