Overview

The City of Cape Town invites bids for the supply and delivery of various trucks. This open tender by Fleet Management covers a 36-month contract for multiple truck types and sub-items, targeting OEM-approved motor dealers and capable suppliers (including bodybuilders) who can install fitments (e.g., Automated Fuel System, Vehicle Monitoring System) without voiding warranties.

Requirements

• Compliance with the SCM Policy and related tender conditions; declare conflicts of interest as required.

• Confirmation that fitments (Automated Fuel System, Vehicle Monitoring System, MPI box) will not void vehicle warranties.
• NRCS certification/ accreditation for the bodybuilder used by the successful supplier (except chassis cab items).
• Tax compliance: SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN; separate PINs for each joint venture party; verification by CSD/e-Filing.
• Registration on the City of Cape Town Supplier Database and on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Health and safety obligations: OH&S compliance and potentially a detailed Health and Safety Plan upon request.
• Compliance declarations: Declaration of Interest, Declaration of Conflict of Interest, Certificate of Independent Bid Determination, and related authorisations (e.g., deduction of amounts owed to CCT).
• Returnable documents and any samples/testing as required by the contract documents.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline/time: closing 20 August 2026 at 10:00; tender box 215, Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard, Cape Town.
• Submission method: sealed envelope/tender box submission; if too large, follow alternative instructions at the Tender Distribution Office.
• Documents to submit: completed Form of Offer and Acceptance, Price Schedule, Schedule of Deviations, returnable documents, and all supporting SCM documentation.
• Registrations required: CCT Supplier Database and National Treasury CSD registration; provide Tax Compliance PINs.
