Overview

Procurement of supply and delivery of various vessels and marine equipment for the City of Cape Town, under a 36-month contract. Open to marine equipment suppliers, vessel manufacturers/distributors, and service providers capable of delivering a range of vessels and related gear (see tender document for exact specs). Requirements

• Compliance with the City of Cape Town SCM Policy and all returnable documents; full, compliant tender submission.
• Tax and regulatory: SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN; registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and on the City’s Supplier Database; separate tax status for each JV party if applicable.
• Complete and sign required schedules and declarations (e.g., Schedule F13 Information to be Provided With the Tender; Declaration of Interest; Declaration of Bidders’ Past SCM Practices; Certificate of Independent Bid Determination).
• Provide evidence of qualifications, financial capacity, and risk controls; may require Health and Safety plan, samples/tests, and possible due diligence.
• Special conditions: adherence to two-envelope requirements only if stated; otherwise single submission; potential penalties for non-compliance or poor performance.
• Site visit/clarification: strongly recommended to attend (not mandatory) (see site visit details).

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 02 September 2026, 10:00 (Tender Box 230, Civic Centre). Hard copies incur a R200 tender fee; online downloads are free. Prepare sealed envelope with name, address, and tender details. (35G-2026-27...)
• Submission method: sealed tender envelope into the official Tender Box or as otherwise instructed; submit to Tender Box Office, Civic Centre, Cape Town.
• Documents to complete: Form of Offer and Acceptance; Price Schedule; Returnable Documents; Schedule F.13 Information to Be Provided With the Tender; tax and corporate declarations; authorisations for joint ventures; and List of Other Documents Attached by Tenderer.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: register on CCT Supplier Database and SARS CSD; provide Tax Compliance PIN; include relevant proof with the tender.
• Briefing/clarification: site visit on 14 August 2026 at 10:00 via Microsoft Teams (not compulsory but strongly recommended). Clarifications to be requested in writing within the timeframe stated in the tender.
