Overview

Supply and delivery of water meters to Drakenstein Municipality for a period up to 30 June 2030. This open-tender (CES 06/2026) invites water meter suppliers to participate for municipal metering needs. Ideal bidders are water meter manufacturers or suppliers with municipal contracting capability, who are registered on Drakenstein’s supplier database and able to meet tax compliance (MBD 1 Part B). Requirements

• Compulsory clarification meeting attendance (17 Sep 2026, 10:00) or bidder disqualification.
• Must be registered on Drakenstein Municipality’s supplier database; tax status compliant per MBD 1 (Part B).
• Tender documents: obtainment from Engineering Department; non-refundable fee of R450 for paper copies (electronic copies free).
• Samples: provided for inspection within 3 days’ notice if requested.
• Bids must be submitted on provided bid documentation, in a sealed envelope, placed in tender box 1 before closing.
• Bid validity: minimum 120 days post-closing.
• Late, telegraphic, telex, faxed or emailed tenders not accepted.
• Evaluation under 80/20 Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022; contract to be signed on success.
• GCC/SCC apply; bidder must be willing to sign a written contract.
