Supply and delivery of substation materials for the Metrorail Gauteng region (PRASA). Bidders with experience in electrical substations, railway traction equipment, and related supply/install work, compliant with SANS standards and PRASA General Conditions of Purchase, should consider bidding.

Requirements

• Tax and supplier compliance: SARS PIN for tax status; Tax Compliance Status (TCS) or Central Supplier Database (CSD) number; COIDA good standing; ensure no disqualifications under state service rules.
• Mandatory documents: Completed Pricing and Delivery Schedule; BOQ/Pricing Schedule; Signed RFQ/SBD forms; JV/consortium or subcontract agreements if applicable; CSD number or SARS PIN.
• Experience: Demonstrated similar projects (supply/delivery of substation materials) completed within the last 15 years; provide appointment letters and client completion evidence.
• Scope and standards: Materials and delivery aligned to SANS standards; acceptance by PRASA/Metrorail; minimum 12-month defects/guarantee period.
• Preferences: Specific goals for PPPFA (e.g., Black Youth-owned and Black Women-owned with documentary evidence); price evaluation and preference scoring as per tender rules.
• Administrative: Completeness and responsiveness, avoidance of late submissions, and compliance with all bid conditions.
