Overview

Supply and installation of 2 highmasts in Extension 08 for uMzimkhulu Local Municipality. Open to reputable and experienced service providers with CIDB grading 3EP or higher and proven highmast installation capability.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 3EP or higher.
• Mandatory documents (must be submitted): CSD proof of registration; MBD4, MBD8, MBD6.1 & MBD9; Municipal rates and services certificates for the company and its directors/owners; lease agreements if leasing office space or director accommodation; affidavit if the account is under relatives; Certificate of Authority; tender document signed on company letterhead. • Safety and qualifications: Site Supervisor with a trade test certificate and N6 or higher in Electrical Engineering, with >3 years’ experience; SAMTRAC or NOSA safety certificate; detailed CVs.
• Methodology: Construction Methodology Statement (min 2 pages) covering approach, timeframes, activities, administration, quality, risk, health & safety.
• Evaluation thresholds: 80/20 preference; minimum 66.21% in functionality per segment; must score 100% on Expertise segments.
• Specific goals scoring: ownership and location criteria (e.g., 100% SA citizen ownership = 10 points; 50% ownership = 5 points; ≥50% local ownership = 10 points); located in KZN = up to 10 points. (Total 20 points)

How to Apply

• Briefing: non-compulsory briefing on 15/07/2026 at 10:00, Makhosini Building Boardroom, uMzimkhulu.
• Submission: tender documents must be deposited in the tender box at 169 Main Street, Umzimkhulu, by 12:00 on 24 July 2026.
• Documents to submit: the complete set of tender docs plus required forms (MBD4, 8, 6.1 & 9), CSD proof, rates certificates, lease affidavits if applicable, Certificate of Authority, and company sign-off on letterhead; include letters of appointment/completion or references for highmast experience.
• Registrations: proof of CSD registration; CIDB grade 3EP+; ensure Compliance and pre-qualification per SCM policies.
