Overview

Procurement of Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of a Solar Powered Highmast at Lokichoggio Town. Open to eligible bidders in solar PV, street lighting and related renewable-energy contracting; preferred bidders should hold relevant solar/EPRA licenses and comply with standard government procurement requirements (IFMIS submission, tender security, etc.) as per the tender documents.

Requirements

• Eligibility and qualifications demonstrating capability and resources.
• Licenses: Solar PV Technician license (T1/T2/T3) or NCA Electrical; EPRA license (C1/C2).
• Corporate documents: Certificate of Incorporation/Registration; Valid Tax Compliance Certificate; e-TIMs registration with KRA.
• Tender security: amount specified in Appendix (equivalent to 2% of tender sum; the notice lists 100,000 KSh as tender security) and valid beyond tender validity.
• Submission documents: Form of Tender, Appendix, Tender Security, priced Bills of Quantities, Works Programme, and qualifications information (CVs, certificates, etc.).
• Technical and financial requirements: CVs for key personnel, past projects, financial statements (audited accounts for 2024-2025), bank statements, credit reference, and a proposed Works Programme.
• Site visit and pre-tender clarification process; pre-tender meeting (if held) and site inspection arrangements.
• All prices in Kenya Shillings, inclusive of taxes; price validity (see notes on conflicting validity periods in documents).

How to Apply

• Deadline: submission by 16 Oct 2026 at 10:00 via the IFMIS portal (tender document).
• Submission method: online through IFMIS portal; upload clearly named documents in one folder (tender document).
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, Tender Security, priced Bills of Quantities, eligibility/qualification information, Works Programme, CVs and licenses, tax and incorporation documents.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: Tax Compliance Certificate, e-TIMs/KRA registration, Solar PV and EPRA licenses as above.
• Briefing/site visit: site visit arranged by the department; meeting point before site visit at the Department of Energy and Mining (notice.pdf). Attendance may be optional per tender rules.

• Contract scope notes: one monopole solar-powered highmast; contract period around 12 weeks (as per tender materials).
