Supply, Deliver and Install Generator Controllers for Upington Depot

Overview

Supply, deliver and install generator controllers for Transnet Upington Depot. Responses are invited from CIDB-registered contractors (CIDB 3 EP or higher) or compliant joint ventures in electrical works, for site installation at Upington. The RFQ is issued by Transnet Freight Rail with a mandatory briefing/site-visit.

Requirements

• CIDB/CRS registration at 3 EP or higher (or JV with combined rating meeting the requirement). If JV, every member must be CIDB-registered and a signed JV agreement provided.
• English language tender offers.
• Valid Tax Clearance Certificate with TCS PIN.
• Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (SANAS or DTIC-guided).
• CIDB/CRS number and proof of CIDB registration.
• Registration on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Letter of Good Standing with the Workmen’s Compensation Fund.
• Returnable documents: T2.1 List and T2.2 Returnable Schedules; attendance certificate for compulsory briefing (T2.2-02).
• No alternative tenders; comply with CIDB/TPPP requirements; tender validity of 12 weeks (RFQ document).
• Compliance with site-visit PPE and safety requirements as part of briefing (see RFQ.pdf).

How to Apply

• Obtain bid documents from the National Treasury eTender Publication Portal and Transnet site (RFQ.pdf).
• Attend the compulsory Clarification Meeting on 22 October 2026 at Groblerhoop Transnet Depot (Loop 16); bring RFQ document and have Certificate of Attendance (T2.2-02) signed (RFQ.pdf).
