Overview

Procurement of supply, deliver and install a high-precision floor scale with display. Johannesburg Water invites bids from qualified metrology/industrial scale suppliers to furnish 1 OIML/NRCS-type approved floor scale (max 600 kg) with a matching display, including installation. Suitable bidders should have relevant scale installation experience, provide certification (OIML/NRCS), and meet PPPFA/BBBEE and supplier registration requirements. Submissions are via the ETender portal, with a closing date of 28 Sept 2026 and a 60-day bid validity period (see attached documents RFQJW0092SM2026 and RFQJW0093SM2026).

Requirements

• OIML/NRCS type approved floor scale (max 600 kg) and 1 display with specified specs; attach brochure and certificate.
• Proof of experience: reference letter from prior supply/installation of high-precision scales.
• Attach OIML or NRCS type approval certificate.
• Mandatory returnable documents: BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; MBD forms; CSD supplier registration; tax clearance; municipal rates/charges; lease or municipal account (not older than 3 months).
• Quotes on company letterhead, with all taxes included; PDF format; 60-day bid validity; JV agreements if applicable.
• Compliance with Johannesburg Water’s supply chain policy and PPPFA (80/20 or 90/10 scoring as applicable).
• Attach complete BOQ/specification completion where required.
