Overview

Repairs to damaged items at South Hills Depot and related repair services. The scope covers repairs across plumbing, electrical, glazing, ceilings and associated works at the South Hills Depot; suitable for service providers with CIDB minimums and multi-trade capabilities, and with OSH, safety, and project administration capabilities.

Requirements

• CIDB Gatekeeping: minimum 1GB, 1EB and 1SO (proof of CIDB or active CRS number valid at bid close).
• CIDB/CRS must be valid on bid closing date (or CRS active) (see gatekeeping documents in RFQ).
• Tax and registrations: CSD registration (MAAA), Tax Compliance status; COIDA/Workman’s Comp; SARS PIN where applicable.
• Returnable documents: SBD1, SBD4, Confidentiality/NDA, Certificate of Acquaintance, Annexure BC; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; CIDB proof; pricing schedule.
• Specific goals for evaluation: ≥51% Black-owned, ≥51% Youth-owned, ≥51% Women-owned, ≥1% Disabled-owned; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit or DTI BBBEE certificate.
• Safety and statutory: detailed Safety File (OSH Act), risk analysis, safety plan, site instruction book, proof of registration with Department of Labour/COIDA; CIDB compliance; site clean-up before final payment.
• Delivery lead time: six weeks from award.

• Submission deadline: 17 August 2026 at 11:00; late bids not considered. Proposals may be emailed to SAPORFQ@postoffice.co.za or delivered via Tender Box (RFQ 26-27-58/DP).
• Clarifications: questions in writing to Desigan Pillay by 13 August 2026; answers posted on national treasury e-tender site.
• Documentation to submit: completed SBD1, SBD4, Confidentiality/NDA, Certificate of Acquaintance; Pricing Schedule; Annexure BC on company letterhead; proof of CIDB and CSD; COIDA Letter of Good Standing; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; tax/compliance PIN.
• Briefing/site visit: compulsory briefing/site visit on 12 August 2026 at 10:00 at South Hills Depot, Corner Linroy and Zastron Street, Steeledale 2197.
• Delivery and pricing: pricing in ZAR including VAT; six-week delivery lead time; bids to use English; include full pricing schedule; if a consortium, provide consolidated BBBEE and lead partner details.
