Overview

RFQ to supply and deliver grass cutting and forestry equipment for the Uphongolo Municipal area. Suitable bidders are suppliers of grass cutting and forestry equipment capable of delivering to Uphongolo and meeting mandatory requirements (SBD forms, CSD registration, SARS tax compliance) as outlined in the RFQ document. Briefing venue: 3rd Floor South Towers, 4 Arundel Close, Kingsmead Office Park, Durban 4001.

Requirements

• Signed and completed SBD 1, 4 and 6.1.
• Evidence of registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) with confirmation of Tax Compliance Status (SARS PIN; supply if non-compliant).
• Fixed price quotations on company letterhead; inclusive of VAT and all disbursements; per quotation numbers.
• Pricing must include delivery to the uPhongolo site; complete pricing schedule.
• Evaluation: 80/20 price/specific goals; 20 points for specific goals (BBBEE ownership, gender, youth, disability).
• Specific goals evidence: BBBEE certificate or affidavit, CSD, IDs, municipal lease/account, disability docs if applicable.
• Compliance: No bids from State personnel or related restricted entities; separate TCS for joint ventures or sub-contractors if applicable.
• Documentation required for preference points and verification, and proof may be requested.

• Submission deadline: 12:00 on 30 September 2026.
• Submissions: via email to OVF@kzngf.co.za (attention Mthokozisi Magcaba); may also be deposited in the bid box at the address in the SBD documents.
• Documents to complete/submit: SBD 1, 4, 6.1; pricing schedule (SCM pricing schedule) for Grass Cutting & Forestry Equipment; evidence of CSD registration and SARS TCS PIN; BBBEE documentation if claiming points.
• Required registrations: Central Supplier Database (MAAA), SARS Tax Compliance PIN or TCS certificate; if a JV/consortium, each party submits its own TCS/CSD.
• Documents to obtain: the official bid package (RFQ OVF-2026-UPH-01-06.pdf) which contains the Pricing Schedule and SBD forms.
