Overview

This tender is for the supply, delivery to site, offloading and installation of MV switchgear protection project material and components at Arnot Power Station for a 36-month period. It targets construction/engineering contractors with MV electrical installation experience and a fit with Eskom’s SHEQ, quality and local-content requirements.

Requirements

• Eligibility: comply with Tender Data; not under Eskom/state restrictions; tenderers may not sub-contract 100% of the SOW.
• Compliance: adhere to National Treasury instructions, CIDB, PPPFA, local-content rules; meet Eskom SHEQ and safety obligations.
• Standards and documentation: provide ISO 9001-based QMS information, internal/external audit reports, a Contract Quality Plan (CQP) and Quality Control Plan/ITP; draft QA deliverables as required (see returnables).
• Pre-qualifications: provide evidence including valid BBBEE, ownership documents, and authority to act if submitting via an agent.
• Site visit/clarification: mandatory site visit or clarification meeting as per Tender Data; non-attendance may disqualify (see documents).
• Local content: designate components with local-content thresholds (e.g., cables at 90% local content) and declare accordingly (see SDL&I strategy).
• Returnables: complete mandatory tender returnables across Quality, SDL&I, Environmental and Financial packages (see attached returnable templates).

• Submission deadline: 12 November 2026 at 10:00, with electronic submission accepted via Eskom’s e-tender platform. If extended, rules apply to the extended closing time (see Standard Conditions).
• Submission method: electronic via Eskom Tender Bulletin site; explicit prohibition on non-electronic submission unless permitted.
• Documents to complete: Acknowledgement Form; complete original tender in paper plus a copy; any required electronic copy; ensure documents are legible and not corrupt.
