Overview

Procurement of supply, delivery and configuration of a rack-mount server for the Buffalo City Metropolitan Development Agency (BCMDA). The contract covers supply of a Dell PowerEdge R760XS or similar, delivery to BCMDA in East London, and configuration/installation. This is an RFQ evaluated on an 80/20 basis (price vs specific goals). Suitable bidders are IT hardware vendors or system integrators with server deployment experience and capaz of on-site configuration; must meet mandatory compliance, CSD registration, and specific BBBEE/ownership goals.

Requirements

• Must be registered on National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD) or provide CSD supplier number.
• Complete MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 7.1, MBD 8, MBD 9 and the Declaration of Bidder forms.
• Meet all minimum compliance and mandatory requirements (section 8 of the terms of reference) and provide proof for specific goals (MBD 6.1).
• Prices inclusive of VAT.
• No use of Tippex; tender responses must be non‑erasable.
• Submit proof that the bidder’s and directors’ municipal accounts are not in arrears for more than 3 months (with options: municipal statements, debt clearance certificate, or lease-related confirmations).
• Provide proof of three completed server projects (supply, delivery and configuration) with combined value ≥ R350,000.
• Quotations must be hard copy, sealed; BCMDA reserves the right to request clarification; no obligation to accept the lowest or any bid; valid for 90 days.
• No quotations from persons in the State; no emailed submissions.
