Overview

Supply, delivery and installation of office chairs for Electoral Commission local offices in the Eastern Cape. Open to office furniture suppliers able to deliver to multiple EC delivery points and to comply with local-content declarations and related documentation, including SABS standards. Submissions close 2026-10-28 09:00 and electronic submission is accepted.

Requirements

• Chairs: High Back Chair with Breathable Mesh and Visitor Chair with Breathable Mesh meeting specs (e.g., 120 kg capacity; adjustable lumbar, headrest, arms; aluminium 5-star base; 2-year warranty; 5-year gas mechanism warranty).
• Local content: meet minimum thresholds (65% for HBC, 70% for VC); complete Annex B/C/D/E declarations; BOM; SABS conformity; possible dtic authorisation for imports.
• Documentation: Schedule A; Annexure A (delivery points); product brochure with dimensions; written material on raw-material sources; letters of guarantee from subcontractors; SABS certificates; Annexures B–E.
• Compliance/QA: inspections at bidder’s premises; conform to order quantities and delivery schedules; quality control and warranty obligations.
