Overview

Supply, Delivery and Installation of office furniture for Electoral Commission offices in Free State (FS). Bidders with furniture manufacturing/installation capability, local-content compliance (Annexes B–E) and BOM experience should bid. The item set covers desks, credenza, pedestal, chairs, boardroom table and filing cabinet for multiple FS sites; delivery within 60 days of PO and warranties apply.

Requirements

• Complete Schedule A and Annexure A (delivery points in Free State).
• Provide a brochure with product images, dimensions and material specs; BOM showing locally produced vs imported content.
• Confirm ability to deliver to all listed offices; staggered deliveries allowed.
• Submit letters of guarantee from subcontractors (if any) and relevant SABS conformity certificates.
• Provide Declaration for Local Content (Annexure B) and Local/Imported Content Declarations ( Annexures C–E); ensure consistency with BOM.
• If importing, obtain dti authorisation and include related documents; local content thresholds apply (e.g., desks 90%, credenza 90%, pedestal 90%, boardroom table 90%, filing cabinet 90%, high-back chair 65%, visitor chair 70%).
• Quality control: inspections before delivery; warranty: minimum 2-year manufacture, 5-year chair gas mechanism.
• Deliveries and performance governed by PPPFA 80/20; bid evaluation may include local-content scoring and supplier due-diligence (SBD4, CSD, tax compliance).
• Exemption process is available if minimum local content cannot be met (see Exemption doc).
