Requirements

• NSF certification for potable-water use and ISO 9001 compliance; evidence required for each product.
• Manufacturer or approved distribution agent status for the chemicals offered.
• Registration to transport hazardous goods; Hazchem-certified drivers; appropriate licensing.
• Tax Compliance: SARS Tax Clearance Pin and Tax Compliance Certificate (separate for JV members).
• Up-to-date municipal rates/charges for bidder and directors; arrears may disqualify.
• Authorized signatory with board resolution; original tender document; no unauthorised alterations.
• Attendance at compulsory site/information meetings; failure to attend may invalidate bid.
• Supplier must provide jar test, certificate of analysis per batch, and off-loading capability (own crane, leak-proof containers).
• Public liability cover (R5M) within 14 days of appointment; emergency response and Hazchem plans.
• Compliance with safety, packaging, and transport of hazardous chemicals; delivery points include Kathu WTWs/WWTs and stock stores.
