Overview

Procurement of supply, delivery and off-loading of point-of-lay pullets, layer feed, medications and sanitary/hygiene chemicals to Eastern Cape Department of Agriculture centers. The bid will be evaluated on an 80/20 system (price 80 points, preferences 20). Suitable bidders include registered poultry input suppliers, breeders/rearers, or those with supplier agreements, with CSD and LOGIS registration and required certifications.

Requirements

• Registered on CSD and active on LOGIS; tax compliance PIN or SARS Tax Clearance where applicable.
• Proof of supplier arrangements with breeders/rearers for POL and evidence of vaccination programs per SAPA Code of Practice June 2022.
• Evidence of registration as a poultry breeder/rearer or supplier; where not registered, supplier agreement with compliant breeder/rearer.
• References confirming delivery of similar inputs in the last 3 years.
• Completed SBD forms (e.g., SBD1, SBD3.1 Pricing Schedule, SBD4), signed authorities, and contractor disclosures.
• Compliance with DoA Special Conditions: supply arrangements, vaccination, delivery schedule within 30 days of order, and adherence to the Stock Theft Act/SAPA movement guidelines.
• Delivery to multiple districts with specified POL, layer feed, and medication quantities (district tables), and delivery schedule.
• Submission in the required tender format (no correction fluid; all changes initialed).

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 22 June 2026, 11:00. Submit in a sealed envelope to the DOA Indwe Building tender box, Bhisho (Office 45, 1st floor). Public bid opening.

  • Certificate of Authority for Signatory; Joint Venture agreements if applicable.
  • Proof of CSD and LOGIS registration; Tax PIN/TCS; VAT status as required.

  • Pricing Schedule (SBD 3.1) with firm prices (90-day validity).
