Overview

Procurement of supply, delivery and off-loading of SANS-approved weed killer poison (20L drums) for the City of Mbombela. Bidders should be suppliers/service providers able to supply to Mbombela Municipal Stores, with capacity to deliver 60 drums and to meet all compliance and documentation requirements (Tax Compliance, CSD, B-BBEE, municipal rates, etc.).

Requirements

• Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN and SARS e-Filing access details.
• Full Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration with a report not older than 30 days.
• Corporate documents: valid company registration, copies of directors’ IDs (certified, ≤3 months).
• Municipal rates/taxes clearance for the business and all active directors (or proof of tribal residence or lease with lessor’s rates).
• B-BBEE: certified B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (EME/QSE); if JV/consortium, consolidated B-BBEE scorecard.
• If JV/consortium, separate required documents from each party.
• Proof of residential addresses or leases for directors; alignment with CSD/company registrations.
• COIDA certificate if applicable; public liability insurance if required.
• Samples: 1L samples requested for delivery to Mbombela Stores by 11:00 on closing; bidder bears cost.
• Mandatory forms: MBD 1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 9, Authority to sign, and related contractor docs.
• No briefing session (Special Conditions).

How to Apply

• Download bid documents from the City of Mbombela site ( tenders/notices ) and etenders.gov.za, available from 18 September 2026. (COM122.pdf; Advert (002).pdf)
• Submit in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with “BID NUMBER, FULL DESCRIPTION AND CLOSING DATE,” to the bid box at 1 Nel Street, Mbombela Civic Centre, before 11:00 on 28 September 2026. No faxes or emails.
• Include: Tax Compliance Status, full CSD report, company registration, directors’ IDs, proof of municipal rates, B-BBEE documents, CVs/qualifications for key personnel (certified as required), sample (1L) if requested, and all MBD forms.
• Bid responses are valid for 30 days; briefing session: none; payments up to 30 days after invoice.
• If asked, provide samples and respond to any pre-award enquiries; adherence to POPI and SCM rules applies.
