Overview

Procurement of supply, delivery and offloading of 16 weeks old Boschveld chickens (320 hens and 40 roosters) to ARC Animal Nutrition and Products. Suitable bidders are poultry livestock suppliers with experience in live animal supply, and who can meet veterinary health, quarantine, and transport requirements; must be registered on CSD and compliant with SBDs, tax, and BBBEE.

Requirements

• Mandatory requirements: reference letter for successful supply/delivery of livestock (not older than 6 years); minimum 4-week quarantine plan with shelter, feed, healthcare details; detailed transportation plan with vehicle images; complete Appendix B.
• Animal health: chickens must be free from HPAI, Newcastle, Salmonella; vaccination/disease-monitoring documentation; veterinary health certificate and movement permit; animals must be tagged; dip 1 week prior to delivery; transport must avoid adverse weather.
• Administrative: bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with full CSD report; claim specific goals for 20 points under 80/20 (or 90/10 as applicable); complete and sign Standard Bidding Documents (SBD) forms; provide valid Tax PIN and BBBEE certificates.
• Delivery: goods to ARC Institute at the stated delivery address; warranty/guarantee details must be provided; service-related qualifications if applicable.
• Evaluation framework: price-based scoring with 80/20 (or 90/10) preference points; specific goals contribute up to 20 points; lowest price or highest scoring tender determines points.
