Overview

The tender is for the supply, delivery and offloading of wooden transmission poles (creosoted eucalyptus) for a period ending 30 April 2029. Eligible bidders are suppliers capable of delivering creosoted eucalyptus poles (9 m and 11 m) to Kouga Municipal stores, with compliance to SANS standards, and who can meet tax, B-BBEE and supplier‑database requirements.

Requirements

• Technical: poles must comply with SANS 754:2019, be creosote-treated eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Grandis, strength group A), with labeling per SANS 753; 9 m (160–180 mm top) and 11 m (180–200 mm top) poles.
• Commercial: firm prices (VAT-inclusive), delivery and off-loading to Kouga stores; lead time not to exceed 4 weeks; minimum order quantities of 50 per item.
• Compliance/documents: Tax Compliance Pin, CSD number, National Treasury Central Database Summary, municipal billing clearance, certified IDs, audited financial statements (if applicable), supplier/manufacturer agreement letter, MBD7 contract form, declarations (interests, past SCM practices, etc.), BBBEE affidavit/cert, and proof of local address for specific goals.
• Evaluation: 80/20 price–specific-goals split; local-area scoring within Kouga/Sarah Baartman/Eastern Cape; 90-day bid validity.
• Other: no corrections fluid; original ink; submissions on official forms.
