Overview

The Department of Agriculture, Eastern Cape, invites bids for the supply, delivery and placing of three refurbished containerized pack-sheds and the connection of electricity at Sigidi Farm, Winnie Madikizela Mandela Local Municipality, Alfred Nzo District. Suitable bidders are contractors with CIDB registration in CE/GB at level 2 or higher, active, and with capacity to handle containerized structures and electrical works; CIDB, CSD and tax compliance requirements apply, plus a mandatory briefing/site visit.

Requirements

• CIDB: minimum 2 CE/GB class; registration must be active at closing; no large over-commitment relative to other contracts (per CIDB rules).
• Proof of CIDB, CSD registration, and tax compliance status; separate TCS/CSD for any JV or subcontractors.
• Returnable documents and bid forms completed on official forms; SBD 6.1 documentation for preferential points; POPIA consent.
• Site/compulsory briefing attendance; clarification meeting on 02 Sep 2026; site visit to Sigidi Farm.
• For projects value >= R3 million, non-EC bidders must subcontract 25% to EC-based contractors.
• Compliance with GCC 2015 and any SCC; no sub-contracting beyond approved scope without Engineer’s approval.
• Documentation to support specific goals (EME/QSE ownership, district residency, gender, youth, disability) with verified proofs.
• Local procurement preference and other SCM rules; ensure CIDB and CSD statuses are current.
