Overview

Procurement of supply, delivery and training of a sand sieve for Johannesburg Water. The contract covers woven wire mesh sieves with a stainless steel frame, training upon delivery, and a requirement to submit photos and detailed sieve specifications (see attached RFQ documents).

Who should bid: suppliers able to supply industrial sieves/equipment with electrical characteristics matching the spec, capable of delivering and providing on-site or on-delivery training; bidders must meet mandatory administrative/compliance requirements (listed below).

Scope highlights drawn from the attached RFQ: sieve frames 430×430×750 mm, weight 40 kg, 220V 50Hz, 1450 r/min, 0.125 kW, 1–9 layers, diameters from <0.002 to 4.75 mm, noise > -50 dB, delivery of cover cap, and training upon delivery.

Requirements

• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; valid tax clearance; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; municipal rates not in 90+ days arrears; company on letterhead; PDFs only; JV documents if applicable.
• Complete BOQ/specification; attachments of datasheets, references, certifications; no bids from state officials or blacklisted entities.
• Completed MBD forms: Declaration of Interest (MBD 4), past SCM practices (MBD 8), Independent Proposal Determination (MBD 9), Pricing Schedule (MBD 3.1), Preference Points (MBD 6.1).
• Provide company registration documents with director IDs; proof of lease or municipal account not older than 3 months; CSD supplier number.
• Quotes must be firm prices inclusive of all taxes; delivery terms and delivery point pricing as indicated; brand names where required.
• Mandatory training on delivery; include sieve photos and sizes per the evaluation form.
