Overview

The contract covers the supply, delivery, assembling and installation of office furniture, filing cabinets, high-density filing systems and electrical appliances for a three-year period. Bidders should have proven experience in supply, delivery, installation and after-sales support of office furniture and related fit-outs, with capacity to provide full pricing schedules, delivery logistics, and compliance documentation (tax, registrations, and supplier vetting) as required in the bid documents.

Requirements

• Administrative and compliance: complete all MBD forms (MBD 1, 3.1, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, 9); sign/initial all pages; no Tippex; attach required corporate and personal documents; provide municipal rates or SAPS affidavit if not in bidder name.
• Tax and registrations: ensure Tax Compliance Status or SARS PIN; where no TCS, provide CSD number; ensure SARS e-filing readiness; for joint ventures, each party must meet TCS/CSD requirements.
• Experience and references: provide appointment letters and seven or more reference letters from current/past clients; contact details for referees; demonstrate relevant experience in office furniture supply, delivery and installation.
• Delivery capability: evidence of access to delivery vehicles (minimum 1.5 tonnes; progressively up to 3–5 tonnes); provide vehicle registration documents and, if leased, lease agreement.
• Technical documentation: provide brochure/technical description for at least 20 items; confirm conformity to specifications.
• Pricing and forms: submit a firm-price pricing schedule (MBD 3.1) and related annexures; ensure all costs are included; confirm delivery periods and delivery basis.
• Special goals: be prepared to claim points under the 80/20 Preference System (e.g., 100% Black Owned, women-owned, youth, disability) with supporting documentation.
