Overview

Procurement of supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of 2 firefighting jockey pumps. Suitable bidders are providers with fire-protection system experience, pump-house installations, and capabilities to meet NFPA 20, SANS/SABS standards, electrical/mechanical installation, and project management for site commissioning (Sefatanaga Phase 1 Fire Pump House, SEZ).

Requirements

• Proven ability to supply, deliver, install and commission two jockey pumps, meeting NFPA 20, SANS 10400-T, OHS Act, and client safety/environmental rules.
• Pump specifications: 11 kW, 3-phase; system pressure max 16 bar; efficiency 91.2%; voltage 380-415/660-690 V; current up to ~22 A; grease, protector, and installation materials as specified.
• Timely delivery within normal operating hours (07:00–16:30) and 12-hour response/repair window for defective equipment.
• Provide all equipment, parts, tools and contingency stock on-site; maintain tools/equipment; ensure post-install tests/inspections.
• Mandatory administrative and documentary requirements (see SBD forms and tender returnables): CIPC documents, SBD 1/4/6.1/6.2, B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, Tax Pin, Letter of Good Standing, CSD Report, Declaration of Interest.
• Minimum qualifications for evaluation: references (minimum 1–5 letters of similar projects), CV and qualifications of key personnel (ECSA-qualified engineer or mechanical engineer; relevant experience), and local-content declarations if applicable.
• Local content/buy-local declarations and SATS 1286:2011 requirements (Annex templates), with audit/certification of declarations if applicable.
• Three years of audited financial statements required for pricing submission.
• RFQ validity: 90 calendar days from closing date; contract is a once-off.

• Submission method: on official forms or online (SBDs required; follow CSD/tax registration processes; Submissions may be online or physical per RFQ instructions).

  • SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, SBD 6.2; CIPC registration documents; CSD report (not older than 3 months); Tax Pin; Letter of Good Standing; proof of registration with ASIB (if applicable); valid BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
  • 3 years audited financial statements.
  • Pricing Schedule completed; breakdown including Labour, Consumables, Jockey Pumps (2), Travel, Safety file, VAT.
  • Company CVs and one named competent person’s CV with qualifications (ECSA/Mechanical Eng.; N diploma or higher).
  • Local Content declarations (Annex C, D, E) if claiming points; proof of audit/certification of declarations.
