Overview

Procurement of air conditioners: supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of air conditioners as and when required for three years. Open-tender by Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality; suitable for reputable service providers with experience in supply, installation, repairs and maintenance of air-conditioning systems, VAT-compliant, and able to meet B-BBEE and local-content requirements.

Requirements

• Compliance with the VAT Act and taxes (Tax Clearance/PIN) requirements.
• Original Tax Clearance Certificate or Tax PIN; proof of SARS registration.
• Proof of CSD Registration and municipal rates/taxes account (not older than 3 months, not in arrears >3 months) or lease agreement with landlord rates.
• Certified copies of company registration documents and a company profile.
• Proof ofRegistration for Installation of Air-conditioners.
• B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate (or SANAS/IRBA-verified certificate for non-EMEs).
• Not in the service of the state (per MBD/SCM rules); full disclosure of potential conflicts.
• Functionality evaluation: minimum threshold 60% based on criteria (financial strength, relevant experience, workshop/equipment, methodology and key personnel with CVs certified and recent).
• Price evaluation: 80/20 preferential Points system; Pts scoring formula provided.
• Local-content declarations where applicable (SATS 1286:2011) if the bid falls under designated sectors.
• Contract duration up to 3 years; payments monthly on invoicing.
• Bidders may be required to sign a formal contract and adhere to GCC and any special conditions.

• Prepare and attach: Tax clearance (original or PIN), Proof of CSD Registration, Certified company registration documents, Municipal rates account, Company profile, Proof of installation registration, B-BBEE certificate, and the pricing schedule (firm prices) among other required forms.
• Complete and submit on official bid forms; no email or fax submissions accepted.
• Submission deadline: 10 November 2026 at 12:00.
