Overview

Open tender to supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, testing, training and two-year technical support for Embu County Aggregation Industrial Parks (CAIPs) Macadamia Processing Equipment. The Procuring Entity is Kenya’s State Department for Industry (Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry). Open to qualified manufacturers or integrators of macadamia processing lines with capability for turnkey delivery, site installation, commissioning, training and after-sales support.

Requirements

• Tender security: Kes 1,400,000 from a reputable financial institution (Central Bank of Kenya recognized).
• Language: English; tender documents and submissions in English.
• Local content: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from Kenyan suppliers (evidence in Section III).
• Pre‑requisites: valid tax clearance certificate; no debarment; no conflict of interest; compliance with anti-corruption laws.
• JV rules: JVs allowed with representative; maximum number of members per TDS; joint venture agreement or Form of Intent required (as applicable).
• Packaging/format: serialize pages, tape-bound (not spiral), original plus copies; proper signing and authorization.
• Rules on goods: origin declarations; prohibition on environmentally harmful production processes; origin and conformity requirements.
• Delivery/contract scope: includes design, supply, installation, commissioning, testing, training and two-year technical support.
• Fees and timing: tender valid for 287 days from opening; currency Kenya Shillings; bidding as per tender schedule.
• Site/clarifications: site visit and possible pre-tender meetings; minutes and addenda issued; clarification requests in writing.
