Overview

Rand Water invites bids for the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, training, servicing and calibration of a Big Lathe Machine at Zuikerbosch Pumping Station for a period of four years. Bidders should have mechanical/engineering capability with calibration accreditation and be able to deliver, install, train (including 9 Fitters and Turners for 6 months per the price schedule), service and calibrate over the contract term. Bidding is open to qualified suppliers; single award; closing date 25 Sept 2026 (12:00).

Requirements

• Accreditation for calibration services (proof/letter required).
• Completion of returnables: Compulsory Enterprise Questionnaire, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, pricing schedule, and other returnables as listed.
• Evidence of BBBEE status (certificate or sworn affidavit) and 80/20 preference scoring; disclosure of BBBEE level.
• Demonstrated HR capacity and equipment capacity, including project team CVs and major plant/equipment; evidence of safety plan and risk management (SHERQ) documentation; DIFR data.
• Insurance declarations and post-award insurance arrangements (14-day window).
• Compliance with price fluctuation provisions, FOB/foreign exchange where applicable, and related tender requirements. References: T1.3–T2.2 sections (RW SCM 00047 F Rev. 08) and Annexure C.2.2 price schedule (see attached).
