Overview

KNH invites bids for supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of medical equipment for the Liver Transplant Project (including related services such as training and initial maintenance). Eligible bidders are medical-equipment suppliers with capability to install/commission complex transplant equipment; JV bidders may participate under ITT rules. Submissions are to KNH’s Supply Chain Management Department entrance (and/or via permitted online portal per the TDS). Site visit is scheduled, and the project is governed by the KNH tender documents.

Requirements

• Eligibility and conduct: comply with Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act; no fraud or debarment; no conflicts of interest; JV (if any) must nominate a representative; one Tender per firm or JV.
• Local/foreign goods: origin declarations required; certain Kenyan-origin sourcing rules apply to listed items; confirm conformity to technical specs and provide spare parts sources.
• Documents and security: Form of Tender; Price Schedules; Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration; Manufacturer’s Authorization (if applicable); Joint Venture Agreement (if applicable); tax clearance certificate; independent tender determination certificate.
• Pricing and terms: fixed prices (no unilateral variation unless TDS allows); currencies in Kenya Shillings (with allowed foreign currencies as per TDS); adhere to Incoterms as specified.
• Evaluation: compliance with Section VII Schedule of Requirements; post-qualification; standstill period of 14 days after notification of award; perform at fixed price if awarded.
• Delivery/installation: full delivery, installation, testing and commissioning per Schedule of Requirements; include training and initial maintenance as applicable.
