Overview

Open national tender to supply, deliver, install, test and commission a mechanical ventilator, cardiac monitor, syringe pump and infusion pump for the Critical Care Unit at MWAI KIBAKI Referral Hospital. Suitable bidders are those with proven experience in supplying and installing medical equipment, able to meet Kenyan public-procurement rules (including debarment checks, tax clearance, and local-content requirements).

Requirements

• Eligibility: open to qualified firms or joint ventures; no conflict of interest; not debarred; compliant with fraud/corruption rules; provide tax clearance; nationality rules apply for foreign bidders.
• Tender security: provide Tender Security of 200,000 KSh (or equivalent as specified).
• Local content: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of contract inputs from national suppliers/contractors.
• Conformity and subcontracting: disclose proposed subcontractors for major items; ensure all subcontracts meet ITT requirements.
• Documentation: provide forms of tender, price schedules, JV agreement if applicable, and evidence of eligibility/qualifications and conformity (see attached tender docs).
• Origin: declare origin of plant/equipment using the price schedules; ensure compliance with ITT origin rules.
• Alternatives: only as permitted in the Tender Data Sheet.
