Overview

Procurement of design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of medical equipment (cardiac monitors and mechanical ventilators) for Mwai Kibaki Referral Hospital. This is an open national tender; suitable for bidders with experience in medical equipment supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and related services.

Requirements

• Compliance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (anti-corruption declarations) and Certificate of Independent Tender Determination.
• Tenderer eligibility: private entity, state-owned entity, or joint venture (JV); JV members liable; representative to act during tendering and contract.
• No conflicts of interest; prohibition of collusive, corrupt, coercive or fraudulent practices.
• Tax compliance: valid tax clearance or exemption certificate.
• Foreign tenderer rules: at least 40% of contract inputs from national suppliers; evidence required; JV exemptions; competition exemption if applicable.
• Subcontractors: disclose major subcontractors’ names and nationalities; ensure Subcontractors meet ITT requirements.
• Eligible goods/installation: origin from eligible countries; avoid environmentally harmful production; conformity to ITT requirements.
• Tender security: provide Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration.
• Site visit/Pre-tender: site visit and/or pre-tender meeting details to be specified in the Tender Data Sheet; attendance as per ITT.
• Documents to accompany tender: Form of Tender, Price Schedules, JV agreements if applicable, evidence of eligibility/conformity, subcontractor details, and any other ITT-listed documents.
