Overview

Supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of specialised medical equipment for Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH). This is an Open Tender (KNH/T/73/2026-2027). Suitable bidders include medical equipment manufacturers, distributors and service providers with capability to install, train, test, commission and provide initial maintenance, in line with Kenyan procurement rules.

Requirements

• Eligible bidders: no public officers or relatives; no conflicts of interest; JV rules as described; debarment by PPRA; nationality provisions.
• Goods eligibility: origin declarations; conformity to technical specifications; ability to supply spare parts, tools and after-sales maintenance.
• Legal/regulatory: tax clearance; Manufacturer Authorization if required; local agent representation if not manufacturing in Kenya.
• Tender security: may require a tender guarantee or declaration, per the TDS; forms listed in Section IV.
• Pre-bid/clarifications: any pre-tender conference details and clarifications governed by ITT provisions; minutes and addenda to be published as applicable.
• Environmental/standards: goods must meet environmental and safety standards; certain Kenyan-sourced item rules may apply per ITT 4.

How to Apply

• Obtain bid documents from the KNH procurement process (referenced in the tender package; see SUPPLY, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF SPECIALISED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT).
• Prepare and submit: Form of Tender; Price Schedules; Tender Security or Securing Declaration; Manufacturer Authorization (if applicable); Joint Venture Agreement (if applicable); evidence of eligibility and conformity, tax clearance, and any other documents in the Tendering Forms (Section IV) and ITT 10–16.
• Submission: in sealed envelopes or via electronic submission if allowed by the TDS; adhere to the specified deadline (see Submission Deadline: 2026-10-07 08:00; document also notes closing at 10:00). Include separate envelopes for originals and copies; mark clearly.
• Clarifications and briefing: submit questions in writing by the date in the TDS; attend any pre-tender briefing if scheduled; responses will be shared with all bidders.
