Overview

Procurement of supply and delivery of 160 mm x 6 m PVC pipes (class 16, SG42 yellow, SABS 1283 approved) for Johannesburg Water; datasheet is compulsory. Bidders should be manufacturers or suppliers of water pipes with the ability to provide manufacturer datasheets, brand names, and samples if required. Eligible entrants include SMMEs (EME or QSE) with 51% or more black ownership.

Requirements

• Datasheet: provide manufacture datasheet and brand names for all items; samples may be requested for unfamiliar items. (6000080620.pdf)
• Compliance and documentation: full BOQ/spec, datasheets/references, proof of certification/accreditation, and functionality requirements where applicable; PDFs on company letterhead; no RFQ from state servants; not blacklisted; JV where applicable.
• Certifications and registrations: original valid Tax Clearance; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; CSD supplier registration; municipal rates/taxes not older than 90 days; MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9; company registration documents with director IDs.
• Evaluation and rules: PPPFA-based points (80/20 or 90/10 depending on value) with price and specific goals; preference for 51% black-owned SMMEs; submission subject to Johannesburg Water’s Supply Chain Policy.
• Other: quotations must be on company letterhead; brand names required; samples or datasheets may be requested.
