Overview

Supply & delivery of tool trowel, socket, ratchet, tape, spade & hatchet. Johannesburg Water invites quotes from hardware/tool suppliers to furnish these items, with a specific goal to support SMMEs (EME or QSE) 51% or more Black-owned. A datasheet is compulsory; brand names and manufacture datasheets must be provided for all items, otherwise disqualification.

Requirements

• Manufacture datasheets and brand names for all items; failure to provide datasheet will result in disqualification.
• Complete the BOQ/specification and attend compulsory site briefing (where applicable); attach datasheet, reference letters, proof of certification/accreditation, and functionality requirements (where applicable).
• Returnable documents: Original valid Tax Clearance, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, municipal rates statement (not older than 90 days), signed MBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), MBD 8 (Past SCM practices), MBD 9 (Independent Proposal Determination), proof of CSD registration/supplier number, and MBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form); company registration documents with directors’ IDs.
• No RFQ from persons in the state service or blacklisted bidders; quotes must be PDF on company letterhead; JV agreements if applicable.
• Quotation evaluation uses PPPFA 2022 (80/20 or 90/10) with 20 points for Specific Goals; indicate compliance with SMME/Black ownership goals and provide required proof.
• Samples may be requested for unfamiliar items or datasheets.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 16 July 2026 at 12:00; submissions via the E-tender Portal (etenders.gov.za) as instructed in the attached RFQ documents.
• Submission method: Online through the E-tender Portal; login using CSD credentials; attach all compulsory documents.
• Documents to complete/submit (from attached files): datasheet with brand names; Tax Clearance; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; Municipal rates; MBD 4, MBD 8, MBD 9, MBD 6.1; CSD registration; company registration with directors’ IDs.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; valid tax clearance.
• Briefing session: attendance is compulsory (location for briefing: 2 James Street, Ennerdale, Johannesburg, 1830; see RFQ for date/time).
