Overview

The tender is for the supply and delivery of tyres, fitting, alignment and balancing under a three-year Framework Agreement. Open to qualified bidders; Kenya Railways requires at least seven alternative vendors and tenderers may bid for one or more lots.

Requirements

• Eligibility: compliance with ITT provisions, including anti-corruption, competition rules, and Joint Venture rules.
• Documentation: complete Form of Tender, Price Schedules, Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration, JV agreements if applicable, manufacturer authorizations if needed, tax clearance for Kenyan bidders.
• Bid security: Kshs 250,000 via bank guarantee or insurance company, valid for 240 days from tender opening.
• Tendering specifics: serialize all tender pages; respond in English; submit all documents as specified in the tender forms.
• Submission rules: tenders must be delivered by the deadline to the Kenya Railways Tender Box (Block C Reception); electronic submissions are not permitted.
• Post-qualification and award: Lowest Evaluated Tender meeting qualifications; standstill period of 14 days before contract award.

• Deadline: 13 July 2026 at 10:00 East African Time (note: metadata shows 16 July 2026 22:00 as an alternate deadline).
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender and Price Schedules (Section IV), Tender Security or Declaration (Section IV), JV documentation if applicable, Manufacturer Authorized Letters if required, tax clearance, and evidence of eligibility/qualifications (Section III).
• Opening: tenders opened publicly after the deadline, in the presence of tenderers’ representatives.
