Overview

RFQ for the supply, delivery, off-loading, servicing, removal and disposal of 6m3 waste skip bins at Johannesburg Water’s five Wastewater Treatment Works, on an as-and-when-needed basis for six weeks. Suitable bidders are waste-management/logistics providers with a fleet capable of handling 6m3 skip bins, registered landfill access (Class A/B), valid waste-transport and environmental permits, and relevant certifications (BBBEE, tax clearance, CSD registration).

Requirements

• Service 6m3 waste skip bins at five WWTWs for six weeks; include safe disposal at licensed landfills (Class A or B) and provide manifests, weighbridge slips, and disposal certificates.
• Provide an assistant with each delivery/removal and handle spillages with immediate cleanup per environmental requirements.
• Compliance with National Environmental Management Waste Act and JW procedures; accept JW’s right to cancel for non-compliance.
• Mandatory documentation and attestations: BOQ/spec completion, datasheets, references, proof of certification/accreditation, and completion of all mandatory forms.
• Compliance checks: not in service of the state; not blacklisted; quotes on company letterhead; JV agreements if applicable.
• Required permits/certificates: Hazardous waste landfill permit (Class A), Transport Permit (COJ – Waste Hub), Waste Transportation Certificate (Gauteng DoARD&E), Emergency/Incident Management Plan, and Letter of Good Standing (Dept. of Employment and Labour).
• Site briefing is compulsory; failures may disqualify during evaluation.
• Mandatory administrative documents (MBD forms, BBBEE, CSD, tax clearance, municipal rates, etc.).
