SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF NEW HIDROSTAL

Overview

Supply, installation and commissioning of a new Hidrostal immersible pump or equivalent for the Ngagane River pump station. Bidders should be qualified pumping equipment suppliers/contractors capable of supplying, installing and commissioning the equipment, with adherence to uThukela Water SCM policy and applicable procurement rules (80/20 preferences; CSD registration).

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to supply, install and commission a Hidrostal immersible pump or equivalent.
• Registration on the National Treasury Supplier Database (CSD).
• Compliance with Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022 (80/20 point system) and ability to claim preference points.
• Attendance at the compulsory site clarification meeting (Ngagane) on 21 Oct 2026 10:00; safety shoes required.
• Bids must be sealed, endorsed with BID NO: STR2027-BID-005, and deposited in the official tender box at 79 Harding Street, Newcastle; no late or facsimile/e-mail submissions.
• Bid validity: 120 days (subject to extension).
• Bid documents downloadable from www.uthukelawater.co.za on 16 Oct 2026 (TENDER NOTICE OPS2027-BID-005.pdf).

• Submission method: physical hand-delivery to uThukela Water’s tender box (79 Harding Street, Newcastle). Envelope must be sealed and endorsed with the BID NO.
• Documents to submit: completed bid documents; bidder name and address on the back; ensure compliance with the conditions.
• Pre-qualifications: register on the National Treasury CSD (www.csd.gov.za) prior to bidding.
• Briefing: compulsory site clarification on 21 Oct 2026 at Ngagane (10:00); wear safety shoes.
