Overview

This Request for Information seeks information for the supply, installation and commissioning of a permanent on-line Partial Discharge Monitoring System for 11kV electrical equipment at O.R. Tambo International Airport. Bidders with expertise in high-voltage PD monitoring, OEM partnerships, SCADA/integration capabilities, training and aftersales should respond to help ACSA assess viable solutions and implementation options for the ORTIA precincts (Terminal Building, Cargo, Airside). This is a pilot project with potential quantity adjustments.

Requirements

• Permanent on-line PD monitoring system for 11kV equipment, including cables, switchgear, transformers, current transformers, and busbars.
• Minimum 24 sensors; powered by 230V AC; data via fiber optic or LAN; compatible with ACSA laptops.
• Remote data access, AI analytics, dashboards/reports, and alerting (email/SMS).
• System must discriminate PD sources from external interference; retain historical data; support SCADA integration and interface with IMC and existing IT servers.
• OEM presence during commissioning; training for ACSA personnel; aftersales support; license rights for software/features/data analysis tools.
• Coverage of entire cable lengths (including tunnels/underground), DGA monitoring on transformers, and scalable for future installations.
• Documentation on licensing, integration options, and compatibility with existing infrastructure.
