Overview

Procurement of supply, installation, commissioning and repair of 12 kV indoor switchgear and ancillary equipment for new internal arc rated installations. Suitable bidders are electrical engineering firms with HV switchgear expertise (AIS/GIS at 12 kV), capability to supply, install, test, commission and service internal arc rated gear, and with relevant OEM/after‑sales support capabilities and certifications.

Requirements

• Compliance with City of Cape Town SCM Policy and all tender conditions; declare conflicts of interest.
• Complete returnable documents and subcontractor/consortium paperwork (Details of Tenderer; Certificate of Authority; partnership/JV agreements if any; declarations of interest/consistency; Independent Bid Determination; etc.).
• Demonstrate tax compliance (SARS Tax Compliance PIN) and be registered on CCT Supplier Database and CSD (National Treasury) with up-to-date details.
• Provide full technical compliance: complete Schedule F.13 (A–M), including OEM/authorized reseller details, type tests, drawings, installation history, and after-sales capability; comply with all technical specification sections.
• Occupational Health and Safety compliance; Health & Safety Plan if requested; adherence to OHSA requirements.
• Confidentiality, non-disclosure and proper governance during tender process; adherence to bid evaluation and potential negotiations per the Conditions of Tender.
