Overview

Procurement of the supply, installation and testing of a secure Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) and associated accessories. Open National Tender by the County Government of Kiambu. Suitable bidders are ICT/network hardware and services firms, including joint ventures compliant with Kenyan public-procurement rules. Requirements

• Tender Security: KSh 500,000 from a CBK-licensed institution, valid beyond the tender validity period.
• Compliance with anti-corruption provisions; include Certificate of Independent Tender Determination; no debarment.
• Eligibility: open to all eligible bidders; Joint Ventures allowed with representative; no conflicting interests; JV members jointly liable.
• Foreign input rules: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from Kenyan suppliers; nationality and disclosure rules apply.
• Tax: valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
• Documentation: Form of Tender, priced Activity Schedule, Tender Security, Joint Venture documentation if applicable, and conformity/eligibility evidence as specified in the tender forms.
• Site/Pre-tender: site visit and pre-tender meeting may be arranged; attendance not mandatory (details in TDS).
• Language: tenders and communications in English.

• Deadline and submission: deliver manually in a sealed envelope to the Kiambu HQ Tender Box (Ground Floor, Governor’s Boardroom) by 11 Aug 2026 10:00; electronic submissions are not permitted. See (Tender Notice-SD-WAN).
