SUPPLY OF HEPATITIS B RAPID DIAGNOSTIC TESTS (RDTs)

Overview

Supply of Hepatitis B Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) for distribution to public health facilities in Kenya under KEMSA; tenders are open to eligible health diagnostics suppliers capable of supplying at scale and meeting Kenya regulatory/registration requirements.

Requirements

• Bid security: KES 3,000,000 (or equivalent)
• Eligibility: not debarred; valid tax clearance; no conflict of interest; comply with anti-corruption declarations
• Local content: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from Kenyan suppliers
• Manufacturer authorization if the bidder does not manufacture the goods; local service representation for warranty
• Registration of goods in Kenya (certificate or evidence of registration process) and compliance with Kenyan registration rules; JV rules if bidding as a joint venture

How to Apply

• Deadline: 29 October 2026 at 10:00 am; late/portion of bids not accepted
• Submission: sealed envelope submissions to Tender Box No.2 at KEMSA, Nairobi, with ONE original and copies, clearly marked with Tender No and Description; electronic submission may be allowed per the TDS (if applicable)
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, Price Schedules, Tender Security, Manufacturer Authorization (if applicable), Joint Venture Agreement or Intent, Tax Clearance, Registration Evidence, and any other documents required in the Tender Data Sheet (TDS) and Section IV forms; registration form included in the tender documents (see (SUPPLY OF HEPATITIS B RAPID DIAGNOSTIC TESTS (RDTs)))
• Pre-bid conference: 13 October 2026 at 10:00 am, at KEMSA Tender Opening Hall (advisable but confirm if mandatory)
