Overview

Supply of high precision, meteorological instruments and data loggers to equip three new GHG monitoring stations in South Africa. SAWS invites bids from manufacturers or suppliers of meteorological instrumentation, sensors, data loggers and related software with capacity to supply, calibrate, install and support monitoring stations.

Requirements

• Complete and submit all bid returnables: Annexure A, Annexure B, Annexure C, Annexure F, Annexure G (Pricing Schedule) and Annexure H, plus POPIA Annexure i; adhere to GCC/SCC terms.
• Tax compliance: provide SARS PIN or a SARS-issued Tax Clearance; CSD number if no TCS; separate TCS for consortia/subcontractors.
• OEM accreditations and reference checks: supplier must enable OEM verification and undergo SAWS due diligence, including reference letters verification.
• Operational premises and infrastructure with relevant accreditation; due diligence site visit prior to award.
• Compliance with privacy (POPIA) and other statutory requirements; non-state employees restrictions apply.
• For foreign bidders: SARS confirmation of tax obligations may be required; ensure tax and regulatory compliance criteria are met.
• Payment terms: generally 30 days from invoice; price must be firm unless SCC allows adjustments.
• Preferred supplier considerations include B-BBEE points under Annexure F.

• Pre-qualifications/registrations: SARS PIN/TCS; CSD number; tax clearance; be compliant with National Treasury GCC; foreign bidders may require SARS confirmation; no bids from state officials or their associates.
