Overview

Procurement of metering units for Kenya Power & Lighting Company (KPLC) under an open tender. Target bidders are suppliers/manufacturers of metering equipment (electrical metering units) with capability for supply and related services, including OEM authorization, testing/quality marks (ISO 9001, KEBS/Standardization), and post-sales support. Requirements

• Eligible bidders: individuals, private firms, state-owned entities, or JVs; all members liable for contract execution; no disqualifying conflicts or corruption; comply with PPADA. (TENDER DOCUMENT)
• Compliance and ethics: certificates including Independent Tender Determination, Code of Ethics declarations, and debarment checks. (SECTION I)

• Technical qualifications: Manufacturer’s Authorization (where applicable); ISO 9001 or KEBS quality marks; ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for testing labs (where applicable); catalogues, technical drawings, and prior experience (at least two completion certificates, preferably with KPLC).
