Overview

Supply operational gases for research grade instruments at the Cape Point Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) station. SAWS invites bids from suppliers of high-purity gas cylinders (Argon, Helium, Nitrogen 5.0, Zero Air) in 50L cylinders, with on-site storage for up to 6 months and two 6-month rental periods, delivered to Cape Point. Budget up to R500 000. Key scope: two six-month delivery cycles, on-site storage, and delivery-inclusive pricing.

Requirements

• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration or Tax Compliance Status (PIN) and SARS verification.
• Complete and submit Annexure A, Pricing Schedule (Annexure G), SBD 3.1, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1 (if claiming preferences).
• B-BBEE status: valid certificate or sworn affidavit for points claims.
• Tax compliance: provide PIN or CSD number; SARS verification where applicable.
• POPIA compliance: supplier consent form (Annexure I) required; data processing consent.
• Delivery to Cape Point with delivery costs included; cylinders rented/kept on-site for 6 months (two cycles).
• Compliance with GCC/SCC terms and potential due diligence or site visits.
• No briefing session required (as advertised).
