Overview

Johannesburg Water seeks responses to an RFI for the supply/replacement, delivery, offloading and installation and provision of strip, quote and repair, assemble and testing and services of water and sewer valves and gearboxes and respective spares on an “as and when required” basis for 36 months. Suitable bidders are manufacturers or suppliers with on-site servicing capability, repair, testing, and spare parts provisioning for water/sewer valves and gearboxes, with the ability to submit market data and pricing guidance for a future tender.

Requirements

• Proven ability to supply, repair, service and test water and sewer valves and gearboxes across JW sites; include stripping, repair quotations, and OEM pre-quotes.
• Compliance with specified standards and technical requirements (e.g., SANS/BS/SABS as listed, minimum valve design pressure of 10 Bar, corrosion-resistant materials for wastewater).
• Provide complete documentation: operating and maintenance manuals, test certificates, detailed repair data packs, OEM pre-invoices/material certificates, and site acceptance where applicable.
• Provide jointing materials per SANS 1700, stainless bolts, correct flange drilling, and proper protection/coatings (internal/external) per the specification.
• Deliver “as and when required” with on-site installation capability, and be able to handle emergency work with approved JW authorization.
