Overview

SAFCOL seeks to appoint service providers to supply X2 Fire Lookout Towers crews per month at Roburnia Plantation for four months (1 August – 30 November 2026). Bidders should be qualified security/guard providers with fire-lookout experience, capable of manning two lookouts (Ntabanyama and Blairmore) on 8-hour shifts, supplying PPE, binoculars, radios, and trained personnel including first aiders and lookouts.

Requirements

• Complete RFQ in full, lay on company letterhead; submit via email; include SBD forms.
• SANAS-accredited BBBEE verification (SANAS certificate) or EME/QSE sworn affidavit; include CSD/SARS status.
• Latest Tax Clearance; CSD registration or proof to register within 7 days of award.
• Returnable documents: IDs of company directors; bank statements showing minimum funds or evidence of credit facility (R400k).
• Evidence of fire-lookout/guarding experience with contactable reference letters (2+ years preferred; more is better).
• Proof of COID/Workers’ Compensation and Public Liability Insurance (min R5,000,000).
• Training: Certificates for Lookout Guarding, First Aiders (minimum 1–4 as applicable), SHEQ rep.
• Equipment and PPE: per-lookout requirements (binoculars, radios, first aid kit, etc.) and adherence to defined gear lists.
• Compliance with Special Conditions (no delivery before purchase order; VAT included; binding validity; due diligence rights).
