SURFACE REPAIRS TO ROADS, SIDEWALKS AND TRENCH RE-INSTATEMENTS AS AND WHEN REQUIRED IN THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGION OF ETHEKWINI MUNICIPALITY FOR 24 MONTHS

Overview

Contract for surface repairs to roads, sidewalks and trench re-instats in the South Central region of eThekwini Municipality for 24 months. Bidders should be experienced in civil-roadworks, hold CIDB designation 5 CE (or higher), and be registered on the eThekwini Supplier Portal; compliance with CIDB, B-BBEE, tax, and supplier database requirements is required.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading designation of 5 CE (or higher) and CIDB registration status.
• Registration on the eThekwini Municipality Supplier Portal and ability to submit via the JDE ESP system.
• Registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and compliance checks (CIDB, B-BBEE, Tax PINs) prior to award.
• Tax clearance status; no undisputed municipal debts; Declaration of Municipal Fees as required.
• Audited financial statements if tender value exceeds R10 million; list of contracts awarded in past 5 years (Returnable forms MBD 5, etc).
• If in a JV, each party must have separate Tax PINs; Joint Venture Agreements.
• Tender validity: 12 months.
• Evaluation uses 80/20 Price Preference (SCM policy).
• Compulsory Clarification Meeting: 5 October 2026; consolidated Q&A posted 23 October 2026.
• Health and safety plan and Community Liaison Officer provisions may be required in pricing (see BOQ).
